This Cookie Policy explains how Anko, Inc. ("Anko," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on getanko.com (the "Website") and when you sign in to the Anko application, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, and let us understand how visitors use the Website.
Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies. Required for the Website to function properly. These cannot be disabled.
- Session cookie — Anko application. After you sign in to the Anko application, we set a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the application to work. Blocking or deleting it will sign you out.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Website — pages viewed, time on site, general location, and referring source. This data is aggregated and helps us improve the Website; it is not used to identify you personally. Google Analytics may set its own cookies (e.g., _ga, _gid) and process this data per Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not currently use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy.
How to Control Cookies
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the Website functions, and blocking the application session cookie will sign you out.
- Opt out of Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites.
We do not currently display a cookie consent banner. If you have concerns about analytics cookies, please use the opt-out methods above or contact us at swapnil@getanko.com.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is currently no industry-standard way to respond to these signals, so our Website does not currently respond to them differently.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes — including if we add a cookie consent banner in the future. We'll post the revised version here with an updated effective date.
